About Me

Just A Little Bit About Me

Hello:
My name is LaVoious Antoinette Maye Mullins and I am one of two (2) School Counselors at Wynbrooke Traditional Theme School.  Originally from Alabama, I have been a resident of Georgia for the past 38 years.  I have been a Counselor at Wynbrooke since the school opened its doors in 2001 and I count it as a blessing each and every day that I am allowed to work with your child(ren).  I am primarily responsible for the students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.  However, I work with all children.  I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from Tennessee State University.  Go Big Blue!  I achieved my Doctorate degree from Clark Atlanta University in School Counseling and my Leadership Certification from Georgia State University.  In addition to serving as your child's School Counselor, I also serves as the Attendance Protocol Manager and Sponsor of the Wynbrooke Beta Club.

I was married to the late Charles Mullins for 34 years.  I have two adult sons and 3 grand boys.  I am a family oriented person and I believe that there is no greater unit than the Family...biological or extended.  When I am not spending time with Family and Friends I love to read Mysteries, Love Stories and Science Fiction.  I also like to cook and I can't wait to go back into the Movie Theaters.

Children are very important to me and I take my job as an Elementary School Counselor very seriously.  I come to work every day expecting the children to amaze me with their intellect and curiosity.  There is no limit to what we can achieve if we work cohesively as a Team that consists of all stakeholders (students, parents, teachers, administrators, staff and community) .
